President of the Republic of Kosovo, Fatmir Sejdiu on Tuesday hosted a meeting with Michael Potts, the new Ambassador of Australia to the Republic of Kosovo, resident in Vienna, who submitted his credentials.
During the meeting, Kosovar President Sejdiu and the Australian Ambassador Potts, discussed the developments in Kosovo, namely the developments in the political scene and the ongoing support that Australia is giving to Kosovo.
"We discussed the developments in Kosovo, in terms of fulfilling the criteria of better well-being for citizens of the country, economic and other forms of cooperation from both nations, particularly Australia's strong support being given to Kosovo in the international scene," said President Sejdiu.
Meanwhile, Ambassador Potts reiterated his commitment to cooperation and support being given to Kosovo overall.

Ambassador Potts said that "in Kosovo have been many positive developments, so far Kosovo's independence have recognized 63 countries," pointing that Australia wants to work with the Republic of Kosovo to further strengthen its international diplomatic presence in the world.
He stressed that as Australia's ambassador in Kosovo, for the coming 3 years will be engaged to build good relations between the two countries and will encourage a large number of Kosovars who live and are educated in Australia to contribute in the reconstruction of the new Balkan nation, Kosovo.
