Government of Macedonia in its meeting yesterday has brought the decision to increase its diplomatic office, the Liaison  Office of Macedonia in Pristina, at the Embassy level. As reported by the Government in Skopje, the first Macedonia ambassador to the Republic of Kosovo will be Stojan Karajanov who is currently chief of liaison office of Macedonia to the Republic of Kosovo.

Government sources in Prishtina say Karajanov will remain at least three months until will consider the possible replacement.

The decision to open the Embassy of Macedonia in the Republic of Kosovo brought two weeks after the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and only a few days after the visit of Minister of Foreign Affairs of  the Republic of Kosovo Skender Hyseni in Skopje.

After meeting with Hyseni, Macedonian Foreign Minister Antonio Milososki made a blunder by saying that due to the complicated procedures Kosovo to open embassies, the opening embassy of Macedonia will take three months.

But apparently this blunder of Milososki has not been an obstacle to open the Embassy and appoint its first Ambassador to the Republic of Kosovo in a very short time, report the local media in Skopje.
