On 26/11/2009, in Brugge of Belgium, the General Assembly of European co-operation for Accreditation (EA),Kosovo Accreditation Directorate (DAK) signed contract with EA- for membership as member of contract.
This agreement was signed by director of DAK Ibush Luzha, while for EA, by its chairman, Graham Talbot.
The signing of this contract is a major achievement of the Republic of Kosovo Accreditation Directorate, because it allows the opening of the way for signing of Accreditation multilateral agreement (MLA), in which case certificates for conformity assessment will be released and accredited by DAK which will be recognized in all EU countries, as well as in countries that are signatory of the EA-MLA.
EA is the European network of nationally recognised accreditation bodies located in the European geographical area.
