The Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo in the Republic of Croatia, Valdet Sadiku, presented yesterday, 29 December, the Credential Letters to President of the Republic of Croatia, Stjepan Mesic.
Ambassador Sadiku conveyed to President Mesic the regards by President of the Republic of Kosovo, Fatmir Sejdiu, and Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi, and the gratitude of Kosovo’s institutions and people for the continued support given to Kosovo by the Republic of Croatia during the efforts and sacrifices of Kosovo’s people to establish an independent state.
Ambassador Sadiku assured President Mesiq about Kosovo Government and people’s wish and intention of further strengthening the bilateral relations and communications in the economic and cultural field between the two countries.
On the other hand, President Mesic reiterated Croatia’s commitment to support Kosovo. He also expressed his confidence that despite the fact that his mandate will come to an end sooner, “The future President of Croatia will not change the policy of establishing good relations with Kosovo and strengthening the regional stability”.
Kosovo as a newly established state is under a prompt development, it is making efforts to become an integral part of Euro-Atlantic organizations, stated Ambassador Sadiku during the credentials presentation ceremony, highlighting that to achieve this goal there is a need for support by all democratic countries sharing these values, notably the valuable support of Croatia, which went through the same path to independence and Euro-Atlantic integration in a rather short past.
