Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo in the Republic of Slovenia, Anton Berisha has submitted Credential Letters yesterday in Ljubljana, to the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Danilo Türk. The Kosovar Ambassador has forwarded the message of Kosovar Government and President to the President of the Republic of Slovenia, expressing gratitude  for continued assistance that Slovenia has given to Kosovo.

Kosovar Ambassador Berisha has assured the Slovenian President to be maximally engaged in further deepening bilateral relations, aiming at concrete commitments in the field of economy, defense, culture and education.

For Ambassador Berisha, the intensification of economic relations between two countries can be accomplished by passing the stage of commercial exchanges, investments in Kosovo through joint initiatives of the business community including the last stage of production.

While expressing satisfaction that the Republic of Kosovo has appointed its ambassador to Slovenia, President Danilo Türk expressed the readiness of the Slovenian state and his willingness as president of the country's contribution in the international legitimacy of the Republic of Kosovo.

As a concrete commitment, the Slovenian President has mentioned about membership commitment to Kosovo in EBRD (European Bank for Reconstruction and Development) and other Slovenia's commitments in multilateral organizations. Also, the President of Slovenia, has expressed readiness to assist in strengthening stability in the region by providing assistance in conform Kosovar intersts in relation with neighboring states.

He expressed satisfaction that in recent local elections in Kosovo, there was a significant participation of the Serb community, which also is a positive sign.
