Kosovo and Montenegro establish diplomatic relations

The Montenegrin government said in a statement today that diplomatic relations were established by exchange of letters of the respective foreign ministers.

Through a letter the Foreign Minister of Montenegro, Milan Rocen, has sent to Foreign Minister of  Kosovo, Skender Hyseni, today, on January 15 is concluded the process of establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Montenegro.

The letter is a positive response of the request made earlier by the Kosovar Forieign Minister for establishing diplomatic relations with the neighboring country, Montenegro.

In the letter of Montenegrin Foreign Minister is emphasized "that relations between our two countries [Kosovo and Montenegro] have good future" and also in the same letter, assessed understanding of the "Kosovo authorities to the needs of members of the Montenegrin community in Kosovo."

"Establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Montenegro, marks a new moment in relations, and also very good between our two countries and also a contribution to peace and security in Western Balkan,"confirmed the Republic of Kosovo Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

It is a brave diplomatic move on both camps. Brilliant future prospects for the Balkans. From little things big things grow. It adds to the wonder of the geography and its beauty. I drove through both countries and was overwhelmed by its beauty and the hospitality. Change is good!
