Chairman of the Foreign Policy Committee of the Parliament of Italy, Stefano Stefani, said Monday that liked it or not liked, Serbia has no other way than to recognize Kosovo's independence.

According to him, peace in the Balkans can be filled and can only be achieved through this process.

These reviews Stefani has made during and after the the Republic of Kosovo Parliament Speaker, Jakup Krasniqi. Meanwhile has said that EU states that have not yet recognized Kosovo must recognize it.

He expressed satisfaction with the achievements in new state of Kosovo and Serb minority participation in recent municipal elections.

Speaking to work within the Assembly of Kosovo, Krasniqi said that Kosovo is trying to create parliamentary tradition, and in this context it is setting a good relationship with all the parliaments of EU countries, including Italy's Parliament.

The Treaty of Lisbon expands the role of Member States' parliaments in the legislative processes of EU institutions, giving them a greater role in responding to new applications for membershipin the European Union.
