Slovakia FM: Kosovo's independence is sui generis

The President of Kosovo, Fatmir Sejdiu met with Foreign Minister of Slovakia, Miroslav Lajcak.
 
Speaking about the achievements and challenges that Kosovo had two years of independence, President Sejdiu stressed that Kosovo has built a positive reality that has contributed to increased stability and peace in the region, while the wheels of history can not be stopped or turn back.

Among others, President Sejdiu of the Minister announced Lajcak efforts and accomplishments of Kosovo institutions to integrate minorities, as well as obstructions of Serbia, which is holding hostage the citizens of Kosovo Serbs by feeding them with illusions, and supporting parallel structures.

President Sejdiu once again stressed the excellent cooperation of Kosovo and other countries of the region and its readiness to participate in regional and international forums on an equal basis with other states.

While Lajcak Minister stressed the importance of regional cooperation and expressed interest in Slovakia for comprehensive cooperation with Kosovo and in particular in areas that would facilitate the lives of citizens of both countries.

Slovaia FM added that he agrees that the Kosovo case is sui generis and can not be used as precedent for any other country. Meanwhile, Kosovar President reiterated his demand for recognition of Kosovo by Slovakia.
