After several months Kosovo can be member of United Nations.
Consideration of territorial integrity and full independence of Kosovo will also be progressed”, Biserko said. Meanwhile, Serbia government has emphasized the ICJ decision as irrelevant, stating that Serb government does not plan to change its stance on recognition of Kosovo's independence, a hint of just buying time.
So far, around 70 UN countries have recognized Kosovo's independence, including the United States, most of the EU countries, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Japan, Canada, Australia, Malawi, Mauritania, Malaysia, Peru, Senegal, United Arab Emirates, etc .

... Serbia should get over it. Serbia lost plain and simple. If Serbia wants to keep making an utter fool of itself let it be. It is not Kosovo's responsibility. Kosovo is not not responsible for negotiating nor have anything to do with Serbia. Kosovo won the ICJ ruling. Serbia smacked itself right hard in its face by initiating such a silly idea which was to get an advisory opinion on Kosovo's independence. What goes around comes around and this is what happened to Serbia. A country that has a sad and sorry history of genocide, no tolerance for difference and now its Serbia that is continuing to further isolate itself. Serbia wants keep going backwards in which it is, then let it be. That's Serbia's problem that it wants to spiral downwards into the Third World and be the lonely black hole. Well done Kosovo. |

... It seems now that Belgrade is changing their stance yet again. At the beginning of the ICJ trial they pledged to respect and honor the decision of the ICJ. Now they say it is irrelevant? Perhaps in the beginning they were sure they would win the case and now they fear they will lose the case. |
