Serbia Wants EU and Dialogue On Kosovo

  • PDF
Goran Bogdanovic

Minister of the so-called Ministry for Kosovo in the Serb Government, Goran Bogdanovic said on Tuesday that Serbs want to become part of EU and at the same time continue the dialogue about Kosovo.

He believes that the Kosovo issue is still not solved in a way that would please both Serbs and Albanians. Asked whether the EU could adopt an amendment saying that the future dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina requires the exclusion of the status issue, Bogdanovic replied that EU representatives never conditioned Serbs with the question of Kosovo, and added that "the EU is a path in itself, Kosovo is another way".

"I do not want to say that media reports, not only from today, but from months ago, are not true, but in all talks with the EU, no one has conditioned us in such a way, and it won't happen in the future", he was cited as saying.

Bogdanovic does not think that developments in Kosovo will depend solely on Dick Marty's report.
