EU Helps Serbia Not Recognize Kosovo, Says Dacic

  • PDF
Ivica Dacic

Minister of Internal Affairs in the Government of Serbia, Ivica Dacic has said that Serbia wants to achieve a substantial agreement on the issue of Kosovo, so that, in his oppinion, this matter is no longer a problem in Serbia's path towards European Union integration.

Dacic reminded that due to the fact that five EU member countries do not accept Kosovo's independence, EU cannot condition Serbia to recognize Kosovo if it wants to join the bloc.

"Serbia wants to reach a historic agreement with the Albanians, so that this issue is closed once and for all, and so that there are no more obstacles in Serbia's road to EU integration", he said. /telegrafi/

Debt? Does the USA not have the largest foreign debt in the world? Taking your way of thinking into account and Considering they are the largest sponsor of "kosovo's false statehood" and also its largest foreign debt is with China, a nation with a brick stance on not recognising Kosovo as an independent state, should the USA be doing what you suggest Spain and Greece do. What about the 30 nations under a population of 4 million (including 15 islands) thats recognised Kosovo Independence purely because of its Economic survival depending on the USA who will slowly but surely have to cut its expenditures in unwanted areas in order to keep its internal situation at peace. So much to this, but, time will heal all our problems, and truth and justice will prevail as it always has in history of man. Will truth and justice prevail today or tomorrow , that is less important, what is important, is that it eventually does.!!!!!!

Kosovo is currently recognised by 74 countries. I dought Serbia can break through those barriers.
I think for Kosovo to prove itself they must first get a new governemnt party that is not run by corrupt thieves.
There is potential is Kosovo espically with tourism as the summers do tend to be packed full of tourists. Along with above average economic growth is needed to meet with the rest of Europe.

Just wait, Greece is bankrupt and if they want any more funds from the IMF they will have to recognize sooner or later, same with Spain... they have a gigantic amount of debt which will need a special IMF deal and without concessions to recognize Kosovo their loans will not get approved. Once those two fold the others will follow.
