Council of Europe

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe has just adopted Swiss man's report. The report accuses Kosovo's Prime Minister Hashim Thaci, and several former KLA leaders for involvement in organized crime, including organ trafficking.

The only change that the report experienced after today's debate is the title, to which the word "investigation" on trafficking was added.

Earlier today

The majority of the MEP's in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe have shown their support for Dick Marty's report and his allegations for organ trafficking. Koha Ditore's envoy in Strasbourg reports that the draft-resolution will be put to vote at 16h00, and it is expected that the majority of MEP's will vote in its favor.

-------------

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe has started today the debate about Swiss MEP’s report and its allegations of organ trafficking in Kosovo during and after the war by members of the Kosovo Liberation Army.

The author of the report, Dick Marty, briefly explained the charges and allegations about KLA crimes and investigations that have been done in the past, which according to him, should be taken further by independent institutions of justice.

He said that he has evidence and arguments, and that there are also witnesses to the crimes committed, whose names cannot be made public due to fears for their safety.

Heads of parliamentary groups discussed about the report, most of the time showing their support, but also emphasizing the need for additional investigations and finding specific evidence on the allegations found in the report.

Enver Hoxhaj and former members of the Presidency of the Assembly, Xhavit Haliti and Ibrahim Gashi will take part in the session’s works. Although they will not have the right to speak, an agreement has been reached with Albania to have a common response to Dick Marty’s report. /kohaditore & zeri/

I am afraid that after this adoption of the CoE the Kosovar people ought to demand that Mr. Thaci and his PDK party shall withdraw from the Kosovo government immediately. We had the Bllaca case, then the wide scale election fraud, now this.. something needs to happen. The clout over Mr. Thaci and his gang is too heavy to shake this off quickly. Kosovo and it's poor people should not be punished for that.

I urge everyone in Kosovo to take it to the street and demand his resignation along with his affiliates!

That is all serbian propaganda, trying to give us Albanians a negative image so that, supposedly, the independance of Kosova can be reversed! It's an agenda that serbia seeks to accomplish through its political war against Kosova and all Albanians to further stir up slush and worsen the situation in the Balkans. Serbia's politics, as always, had been aimed at exterminating all Albanians from Europe. And this is certainly one of the several schemes that they use to try and blend it in.
