Updated 14:08pm

"EULEX takes very seriously the allegations made in the Council of Europe by Dick Marty. EULEX has the capabilities, expertise, location and jurisdiction to perform a judicial review. We are willing and able to take over this responsibility. As a first step, EULEX prosecutors have launched their first investigations."

The above statement by EULEX, was was made public through a press release.

In the communication, it is required that everyone, including Marty, present their evidence on these allegations.

"As a mission for the rule of law, we work with facts and evidence. Without evidence, there can be no prosecution. If we receive such information, our prosecutors are ready to start work immediately."

EULEX is not planning on initiating any investigation into Dick Marty’s allegations on human organ trafficking.

“EULEX will not launch an investigation into allegations on Marty’s report, until we get specific evidence. EULEX has sent two letters to Mr. Marty, through which we have encouraged him to provide the prosecution with any information or evidence that could shine on the allegations made in his report, but so far, we have not received anything. Consequently, there is no investigation underway”, said Alexandra George, spokeswoman for EULEX. /Free Europe & Zeri/

Politics can get dirty and corrupt as can all power games, but EULEX is right to insist on seeing any evidence before they consider an investigation.
Meanwhile Kosova should form their government and get on with helping their country deal with unemployment, manage better the gap between rich and poor, deal as a matter of urgency with the plight of many of the poor and continue to strengthen the countries infrastucture. There has been progress but a lot still needs to be done.
To me Kosova is an amazing little country which will one day will be an important crossroads in the Balkans and set an example of a fair and equal society,

It’s been over 10 years since these unimaginable acts of horror have taken place.
Despite hundreds of allegations being made, and evidence being deliberately destroyed, the EULEX is only now starting to investigate? Truly Pathetic!

The Albanians have been extremely uncooperative in any and all previous attempts at investigating this heinous crime, even now they have done everything they possibly could to prevent these investigations from taking place, even going so far as calling Dick Marty a Nazi and a racist!
If the Albanians are truly innocent, and are serious about clearing their name, then what do they have to hide?

How will ANY potential witnesses be protected when Thaci has threatened to publically expose them all!
However, i dont see this as being a serious issue, as not even the Snake would be foolish enough to leave evidence lying around 10 years after the crime. Or to allow any potential witnesses to survive this long.

I'm curious, of the few witnesses who are still alive, how many will die from sudden, unexpected "accidents" and "natural causes"?

The EULEX is obviously a highly incompetent organisation with no interest in solving this case.
It is painfully obvious that this so called investigation will go no where.smilies/angry.gif

Making outrageous accusations with no evidence, in turn defaming Hashim Thaci, the KLA, Kosovo, the US, NATO and Albania, is a serious libel case. What are his motives? Why did the accusations surface a day after Thaci won the election? Why was Mr. Marty staunchly opposed to Kosovo's independence before he began investigating? My prediction, no evidence will surface, Mr.Marty will disappear, and once Kosovo makes another huge step in progress, another nut job like Mr. Marty will surface with unfounded accusations. Why? Because huge progress=international recognition. Rumors=fear. Connect the dots, it's no coincidence. If Mr. Marty fails to bring evidence than he should be sued by Kosovo, Albania, the US and NATO, for defamation. That would be the only way to prevent future political slanders.
