Chief Prosecutor from Kosovo’s Special Prosecution Office, Isabella Arnal, met on Wednesday with Serbian war crimes prosecutor, Vladimir Vukcevic.

The two discussed common steps to be taken regarding the information provided in Dick Marty’s report.

In the meantime, EULEX insists that it will not launch any investigation until solid evidence is offered. The mission preferred to hide the details of the meeting between Arnal and Vukcevic. “Details of these meetings must remain confidential for objective reasons”, said Blerim Krasniqi, EULEX spokesman.

He said that in addition to meetings held in Belgrade, EULEX prosecutors have conducted meetings in Tirana as well with their counterparts. But it seems that the mission wanted to keep the meeting in Belgrade a secret. Not only were the media not informed about this meeting, but EULEX’s Chief Prosecutor didn’t inform the country’s Chief Prosecutor Ismet Kabashi, who according to the hierarchy, is her boss. Kabashi told the newspaper he was not aware of Arnal's trip to Belgrade. /kohaditore/
