EULEX is not able to investigate human organ trafficking, said Dick Marty, Council of Europe’s rapporteur.
This and other statements were made by Dick Marty in an interview to Serbian “Vesti”. He also stated that to investigate the case of organ trafficking, an ad-hoc justice structure must be created that is not located in Kosovo.
“I do not think that EULEX, in the way it is operating today and in the way it is organized, can conduct an investigation” he said. According to him, the only reason for this is the failure of the international structures to protect witnesses.
“Besides, if we look at the justice system and the international justice in the region, these structures have not been able to protect witnesses. Whenever there is a high-level case, or a case that affects a certain hierarchy on the criminal level, evidence is not only difficult to obtain, but it is impossible”, he said.
He said that “an ad-hoc structure should be established, especially for the investigation of human organ trafficking, and should be outside Kosovo, which will have the right to apply witness-protection measures to witnesses and their families, not only during the process but afterwards, too. Witnesses have so much to say that their lives would not be worth anymore if their identities were discovered”.
EULEX on the other side has stated that it will not launch any investigation without solid evidence. According to the mission, Marty has replied to their previous letters, but has not provided any evidence. /kohaditore/

Dick Marty has every reason not to trust the EULEX! It has proven, time and time again to be an incompetent institution when it comes to investigations! It is already well known that the EULEX deliberately destroyed evidence. This act alone is criminal. And at the very least, extremely incompetent. But the EULEX is also unable to provide ANY protection to potential witnesses! Thaci/Snake has already threatened to expose all witnesses. Which is the same as signing their death warrant! We all know what happened to witnesses in the case of Ramush Haradinaj, Kocijan?i? They all conveniently died from "accidents" Lets hope that the same will not happen again, and that justice will be served! |

... It looks like Marty has gone high, well I believe he is high, he is not having trust on himself too. Well things are not going as he and his supporters have calculated. Now he will have to present the facts that he claims he has them. I strongly believe that there will be no outcome of this report for the fact that all his facts are very likely to have been based on the reports coming from the Serbian side. With this I’m not saying that what is coming from Serbian side should be thrown away or not taken in consideration and review, however a report of that weight should be taken with a lot of seriousness, it can very easily bring to a point of no return. Now his clames are that there is no way of providing evidence and he is going that far saying "evidence is not only difficult to obtain, but it is impossible”. Now I wonder when it’s impossible, how could he come to those evidences? What I believe is that he already made his mind for whatever reason, and he goes that far that he is stating that EULEX is not able to provide the flow of investigation. I will not get surprised if he tomorrow asks that the add hoc Base should be in Belgrade and the team composing the investigators has to be that much independent led by himself and comprising only from: Rusian, Rumanian, Slovak, etc. Dick Marty I’m UCK and I didn’t do those atrocities therefore do not dare to accuse me.
