Thaci Fails To Deliver Promise For Pay Increase

  • PDF
Outgoing PM Hashim Thaci

Employees paid by the state budget will not receive their salaries with the increase as Thaci had promised them.

However, the government's decision remains in power, and the increases will be retroactively received after the budget is approved.

Deputy Finance Minister, Bedri Hamza, said that the decision taken by Thaci earlier has not been annuled. He asked the concerned employees for understanding with regards to the 1-month delay, saying that after the budget is approved, they will receive their salaries with the increase, as promised.

He added that there was no pressure from the international bodies in Pristina to revoke the decision./rtk/
