Students of "Sami Frasheri" Gymnasium returned to their homes today, after they found their school locked down.

Their teachers have entered into a strike today, because they did not receive the increased salaries this month as promised by outgoing PM Hashim Thaci.

The news was confirmed for Koha.net by Ali Shabani, president of the United Education Union of Schools of Kosova, the largest union in the country.

Head of the Education Department in the Municipality of Prishtina, Resik Beqiri, told Express that at present it is only this gymnasium that has taken the decision to enter into a strike, but he cannot guarantee that the step will not be followed by other schools in the days to come./kohaditore & express/
