Today, when Kosovo celebrates her 3rd birthday as a state, 75 countries of the world recognize her independence, which has also been strongly reaffirmed by the International Court of Justice.
This anniversary finds Kosovo facing more challenges than before. With a fragile economy and a high unemployment rate, Kosovo came across a number of other troubles this past years.
The country celebrates its third birthday with an Acting President, outgoing Government, and a disassembled Assembly, even though this political deadlock is expected to come to an end next week.
A tough road lies ahead for Kosovo, which is expected to enter tough negotiations with Serbia, an event much anticipated even by the international community.

... No Stable Kosovo Without a Solution for Mitrovica Since 1999 the Albanians who used to form the majority of the population in Northern Mitrovica were driven out, by Serbian Army, and not allowed to return in their land homes and properties by bayonets of France NATO contingent troops. One might hypothesize that the two questions the Europeans are asking nowadays is: Does the French troops actions, in cooperation with Serbian Military and Paramilitary forces, expelling autochthons Kosovars from their own homes at North Kosova and Mitrovica, and replacing them with Serbian colon help to solve problems between Kosovars and Serbs? Attaching de facto and de juro Kosova to Serbia through French sector, creates a very dangerous situation which can be resolved by a NATO round two, to detach definitely Kosova from Serbia, or a military intervention from Paris-Belgrade-Moscow Axis to conquer it. Does the rearmament and modernization of Serbia military, imply a commitment by France and Russia, for a second round of aggression in Balkan that might culminate in a WW III? And, does failure of international forces to completely demilitarize Serbia, will save Europe from a local conflict which can spread, with new player involved in a firestorm with unpredictable consequences? Instead of wasting all this cash, time and efforts, trying reintegrate former communist nations, EU have to make a very important decision. Accept France’s Geopolitical Strategy, Allow Serbia to reoccupy Kosova, Bosnia Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Slovenia, Bulgaria, and recreate the so-called Yugoslavia Federation, or GREAT SERBIA; Or, reject it, remove France troops from North Kosova, and Support the Kosova Republic Authority over North Kosova, and North Mitrovica. Recognition of independence of Kosova, is unjustified if it does not result in new state institutions that are ... able to enforce legislation over the whole territory... Kosovo cannot do it without creating big problems, N.A.T.O can do it. |
