Kosovo's Prime Minister Hashim Thaci said that even if the whole political spectrum accepts the abolition of the Republic, he would categorically reject it.

The Government of the Republic of Kosovo shall strictly observe the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo, Kosovo laws, and the document of President Ahtisaari.

"The future of northern Mitrovica is identical to the future of the sovereign state of Kosovo. The future of the north is the future of Kosovo, always respecting the Constitution and laws of Kosovo, while also respecting the document of President Ahtisaari. So under no circumstances will there be a special status for the North.
