Serbs in Northern Kosovo would agree to a special status that would give them broad autonomy.

Kosovo's Prime Minister Hashim Thaci said that even if the whole political spectrum accepts the abolition of the Republic, he would categorically reject it.

Behgjet Pacolli was sworn in yesterday in front of 67 MP's of the ruling coalition as the country's new President.

The 120 MP's of the new Kosovo Assembly legislature, are expected to be sworn in today, at the inaugural session of the Assembly. The session, which starts at 11am, will have four points in the agenda.

Today, when Kosovo celebrates her 3rd birthday as a state, 75 countries of the world recognize her independence, which has also been strongly reaffirmed by the International Court of Justice.
