Germany was among the first to recognize Kosovo

Germany’s rapid decision to recognize the Independence of Kosovo was necessary since it would have not have been right to have kept Kosovo with a status-quo, declared German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.

Ban: no more talks on Kosovo status, only CEFTA and finances

Ban Ki-moon Kosovo and Serbia will need to sit down to discuss various issues, but status of Kosovo shall not be the topic anymore. Arrangement of bilateral relations in the level of economy, privatization and CEFTA are some of the discussions that the UN plans to initiate, an anonymous UN diplomat who is involved in the particular settlement, said to the Serbian daily, Blic.
