Today Malaysia recognized the Republic of Kosovo as an indepedent and sovereign country.

Special Rapporteur for Kosovo at the European Parliament, MEP Joost Lagendijk has told the BBC that if the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) for whatever reason is not operational in the whole territory of Kosovo, it will face problems at the European Parliament, especially regarding the budget for the mission.

Doris Pack, an influential member of European Parliament has stressed that deployment of EULEX should be in accordance with the constitution of the Republic of Kosovo and Ahtisaari Plan.

The leadership of the Government and Parliament of the Republic of Kosovo  met yesterday with the President of the Chamber of Representatives of Belgium, Mr. Herman Van Rompuy, with whom they discussed developments in the region and the cooperation between Kosovo and Belgium.
