Kosova's rocky road to statehood
Patrick Moore, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL), 20 June 2008, Bosnian Institute 13 July, 2008

Valuable overview of the situation created by Kosova's independence by RFE/RL analyst

Independent Kosovo's first constitution came into force on 15 June 2008. Although problems continue to dog the new country's transition from a UN protectorate to a fully independent state, those difficulties are largely not of Kosovo's own making.

The low-key ceremony in Prishtina on 15 June was typical of the political developments among the Kosovar Albanians since independence was declared on 17 February, in that all involved seemed to know what was expected of them, and events proceeded fairly smoothly.

At the 15 June gathering, Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi said that 'today the dream of the people of the Republic of Kosovo has come true.' President Fatmir Sejdiu announced that

'this is a historic moment for Kosovo -- the approval of Kosovo's constitution...and its entering into force. This completes the state-building [process] for Kosova.'

Russia with around 140,703,000 people, GDP $2.1 trillion and Serbia with around 8,000,000 people, GDP $77.28 billion, cannot corner the West.

Patrick Moore just perfectly described what the West has done to Yugoslavia. Divide and Conquor.

The West continually try to change the past by inventing events that never occured. This is happening because they cannot use weapons as it would ultimately crack the fragile veneer of this entire charade.

The West have been cornered because Serbia and Russia refuse to play the US game and it looks more and more ominous for the West as they desperatly try to trick Serbia into signing over Kosovo. - phooy

"ultimately it is not just a question of left-wing hypocrisy, but of a profound belief among the left revisionists
that non-Western peoples have no history of their own; that the history of the former Yugoslavia is merely the history of Western intervention in the former Yugoslavia.
If the ‘people of the region are assumed to be incapable of self-government’ by the West... they are assumed by the left revisionists to be incapable of starting their own wars and conducting their own massacres.
This left-wing attitude is simply imperialism in another form."

To assume that the Serbs needed outside help and weren't able to bring down Yugoslavia all by themselves, as well as the unwillingness to hold them to account for their crimes, is nothing but racism.
Fortunately, there are Serbs who will have none of this, and who tell the truth about their ruling class in denial:

"The Serbian elites looked upon Yugoslavia as their own country, namely an expanded Serbia. Such perceptions of Yugoslavia reflected the fundamental misunderstanding between the Serbian elites and their Yugoslav counterparts, which also had their own ideas of how Yugoslavia ought to be arranged as a state. These tensions brought about the disintegration of Yugoslavia. Bosnia again came into the focus because the Serbian elites were bent on realizing their 19th century dream even if war was the price to pay. In the event the expedition against Bosnia at the end of the 20th century resulted in genocide."

Divide and rule eh ? This is EXACTLY what Germany, the Vatican and the US did to Yugoslavia and now to Serbia, by dividing Kosovo from it. This Moore guy must be the devil himself ! - Jackson

A HOUSE DIVIDED AGAINST ITSELF CANNOT STAND.

(Matthew 12:25). 'And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand'.
